background

David Lindsay (aka Genki) is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with over a decade of experience training around the UK and abroad. As well as heading up the Academy’s kids and teen programme, he has a broad range of interests including academia, social justice, music as well as martial arts.

jiu jitsu style

Not being a natural athlete with size or strength advantages has resulted in Genki developing a BJJ game that is all about perfecting technique.

With an extensive competition record, Genki has made a name for himself on the UK scene as a competitor with integrity and character; earning him sponsorships from Yoga for BJJ and Meerkatsu.
